For your VA stop you should consider Hungry Horse East in Ivanhoe – does not get much better. Beautiful campground, bathhouse and barns. Great trail access and maps done by GPS. One site with sewer, all others have water/elec. owners are wonderful people and camp host, Mike is the best!
Make sure Mountwood has the hookups that you need, we stopped there last spring and they only had one water connection and electric was not able to handle our rig. Sites were not long enough for our rig( when I asked they said they were) They were in the process of building new stalls. Never saw any staff. You might look up Camp Creek Park instead.
West Virginia is going to be tough. Camp Creek has some amazing trails, but the campground is primitive. Not many campgrounds with elect/water and or sewer and good trails….found one other: EJ’s cottages – they have campsites with water/elect/sewer as well as stalls or pastures. http://ejcottages.net/
Thanks for the heads up. I looked into EJ’s but heard the roads getting in were not suitable for a big rig, I’d rather go primitive than a hair raising drive.
I am thinking of going to Camp Creek this fall – Laura Hark-Plumley is on Horse Trails and Camping Across America FB page, she is the expert on that park, she has posted amazing pictures, she lives nearby. You should contact her for information. She told me the access roads were ok for big rigs. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

http://www.campcreekstatepark.com/ Camp Creek is in West VA. Is known for it’s beautiful waterfalls. $21 per night includes 2 horses. They have corral pens. Pull thru sites (my personal favorite!) http://www.campcreekstatepark.com/Double%20C%20Horse%20and%20Rider%20Campground%20Map.pdf http://www.campcreekstatepark.com/trails.html
