When I posted this selfie on FaceBook, an old high school friend asked, “What are you listening to?”
I was a newbie Christian and hesitated before I answered, “Christian Rock”.
Music has always been a big part of my life, it touches deep within me like nothing else can. It stirs up my emotions.
When I headed out on SHLEP, I had prepared a playlist on my shuffle for the long drives. It was an eclectic mix of music that spanned my life time, some was fast paced music I’d used to run with, some good dance party songs and some of it was angry music, seeking revenge. As the months wore on, I tired of those songs and started listening to a CD that my daughter had given me that she called “God Songs”. While in Florida, I was baptized and made a new shuffle playlist of exclusively Christian music that touched my soul.
